About Wild Rose Pottery
& Collections

I started my little company in May 1999 (the Wild Rose Pottery web site officially debuted in January 2000) because I had fallen in love with Polish pottery and it was difficult to find, quite simply! I wanted to share my excitement and passion for the beauty, strength of form and function of this incredible pottery.

Wild Rose Collections went on-line when I discovered Ekelund Swedish tablecloths. I had searched for quite some time for table linens as beautiful as the pottery I carried, and since both of my paternal grandparents came from Sweden, it was a natural fit!
I am happy to also now offer Swedish Dala horses and will be continuing to add even more dalahsten soon.

In a world where mediocrity in product quality is often the norm, I am proud to offer these exceptional products. Thank you for allowing me to share them with you! I also appreciate your telling a friend about my web sites and am happy to ship anywhere in the U.S.

Iowa Wild Rose

The 26th Iowa General Assembly designated the Wild Rose as the official state flower in 1897. It was chosen for the honor because it was one of the decorations used on the silver service which the state presented to the battleship USS Iowa that same year. Wild Roses are found throughout the state and bloom from June through September in rural areas - along sunny country roads and bordering fencelines.
Although Iowa Wild Roses are usually light pink, this particular Wild Rose was a beautiful deep pink!
